Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long will it take for my cabinets to arrive after I place my order?
- Our cabinets ship from our various warehouses located throughout the United States and ship within 10-14 business days of receipt of your confirmed order.
Will someone have to be at home to receive these cabinets?
- Yes, a responsible adult will be required to sign for the delivery. Additionally, if there is any damage to note, it is CRITICAL that it be noted at the time of delivery on the delivery driver's ticket and also on your copy.
What do I do if I notice damage to a box?
- Due to the way we ship our cabinets, extremely little damage occurs but you should inspect the entire delivery to note any obvious damage (boxes torn open or soiled beyond normal shipping marks).
What do I do if I notice damage after the delivery?
- Take a complete inventory of the contents that you have and assemble the cabinet as far as you can. Normally if a cabinet has a scratch or even has a gouge on the side, it can likely be hidden next to the adjacent cabinet. Missing hardware items can be sent to you via UPS.
Can I order a sample of the cabinets?
- Most of the cabinet styles have sample doors for you to inspect. We can ship you a sample door for $10.00 plus $12.95 shipping. When you purchase your kitchen we will give you a credit of $22.95 toward your kitchen. We also have wood sample chips available for most door styles for $8.95 including shipping. We highly recommend getting a door sample to see the actual product instead of a wood chip sample.
What glass door options do I have to chose from?
- There is no glass in the doors we ship. The cabinet doors are "ready for glass" meaning they are only frames which you must take and have glass installed at your local glass shop. Glass inserts are truly beyond your imagination and can be everything from glass to stained glass to wire mesh or fabric.
Is this project too hard for me to handle?
- As with any home improvement project, installing kitchen cabinets do require a modest amount of skill. If you are a homeowner who has tackled some of your basic home improvement challenges, then this is probably something you can tackle. If you have never done any remodeling or don't know that "Phillips" is a type of screwdriver, then maybe this isn't the project for you to tackle by yourself.
How long does it really take to assemble these cabinets?
- On our web page are assembly instructions, the man assembling this cabinet had never assembled a kitchen cabinet before. The first cabinet took 20 minutes and after five cabinets his time was down to 10 minutes.
Do I need a loading dock to receive these cabinets?
- No, our delivery charge includes a "lift gate" delivery which means they will place your pallet on the ground. If you have a loading dock and won't need the lift gate, please identify that on your order and the "lift gate" charge can be removed.
I've never installed kitchen cabinets but am a pretty accomplished homeowner; are there any "tricks of the trade" to installing cabinets?
- As with any trade, there are tricks, though they are usually learned the hard way. Our installation instructions on our home page attempts to relay to you the lessons we have learned over the years. Preparation is the key to any successful cabinet installation. Have your tools ready and allow plenty of time to do it correct the first time. When you are ready to begin the installation, stop and read the installation instructions one last time.
